Karin Wallnöfer began her goldsmith’s apprenticeship with her father in 1998. In 2002 she completed her basic trade’s degree and worked in Naturns in the Vinschgau/Val Venosta for three years to gain more experience in the goldsmith’s trade outside the family business.
In 2003 she won third prize, the Bronze Medal, in the World Skills Competition in St. Gallen.
Since 2005 she has been working as a goldsmith in the family business with her father. In 2007 she completed a master’s degree in Münster, Germany. There she also learnt the trade of a jeweller and developed her own original technique.
In 2013 she opened a second Goldschmiede Wallnöfer in Kastelruth/Castelrotto with her father.
